Today I took my wife with me on the photowalk. On the way downtown we stopped at the Ritz Photo. It was like Christmas. I got:
- Tripod
- Neutral Density Filter
- Multi Coated UV Filter
- Circular Polarizer
I also figured out I have a huge passion for chasing squirrels around parks and taking their pictures. The squirrels at Battery Park are especially fun, because they aren’t afraid of humans.
View the shots below in the slideshow and post your favorite in the comments. I will pick one reader at random to receive a print of their favorite in the mail.
You can view the whole set here.
Here are a few of my favorites:

John-The seagull photo is outstanding! I also love the photo directly above that of the squirrel.
Thanks Ruben. That seagull landed about 3 feet from me and then just sat there and smiled.
The one of the squirrel in the tree is great. Nice depth of field and nice colors.
i like the 1 of the girl. She looks like some1 I know. How did you get that angle? Did she know u were taking her pic?
The squirrel at the bottom is the best. He blends into the bark on that tree nicely. Great capture.
I have to say the nut-chaser at the bottom – great colors and texture.
I love the one of the Battery. Very nice photo that captures many elements at one time.
Very interesting. I almost deleted that one as it is not one of my favorites, but my brother liked it so much I left it. Thanks for the comment!
